"How many of these things are you planning on stashing in OUR barn?" Scribbles hissed down at the dog, her tail lashing.

"Yeah!" Skimble agreed, bristling. "You have no business inviting.these...foxes to stay here when we're the ones that take care of the barn!" Not that ther weren't plenty of mice, it was the principle of the thing.
Loki spoke up again. After all, they really didn't have anywhere else to go. "Surely just one night wouldn't be-" the poor fox was cut off by a particularly nasty glare from the tomcat. Loki dipped his head redpectfully but was starting to get very tired of how uncooperative these cats were being.

"Foxes?" York barked, his short pelt bristling. "Are you blind? What kind of foxes look like this?" He gestured to the two of them. Definitely not foxes. Foxes were red, lived in the woods, and definately didn't smell like humans. They obviously had never lived in the wilds, judging by their smooth, well-groomed coats, and they were anything but red.
The foxhound rolled his eyes. These cats were either blind or completely deranged. "Come on Wheatley, let's get out of here before we catch their stupid." He started towards the door, beckoning with his tail for the others to follow.

"Oh! Of course!" Wheatley yipped, slinking after York in a hurry, "Bloody cats, always.. always making up ridiculous things about, ah, about foxes. Wouldn't know a fox if it ran right up and asked to spend the night!"
The white fox laid his ears back in distress for a moment, realizing what a misstep that was, then continued babbling to try and fill the silence, "Of course, it's not their fault, poor things. I mean, it's really to be expected of cats, innit? Can't blame the pitiful creatures for their nature. Their, uh, their feline.. nature. Yes."

York nodded absently, not really paying attention to what Wheatley was saying. He was trying to think of another good spot where Wheatley and his friend could shack up for the night. Usually the hound would go inside to sleep with his master in the house, but that wasn't really an option. The farmer certainly wouldn't appreciate him bringing two strange dogs into the house.
"Oh! The henhouse." he though out loud, veering suddenly towards the small shelter. "It's not much, but you two can probably squeeze in with the chickens. They won't bother you."

Wheatley's ears perked up at that. He'd never seen a chicken before. "They're friendlier than those cats were, I'd hope?"

Loki darted after his friend, listening as Wheatley tried to appear smarter than he actually was an York tried to find them another spot to stay. He started to worry when a "henhouse" was suggested, since York himself wasn't a hen. At least, Loki thought he wasn't.
"Is that where you sleep?"

"They can't talk. At least, I can't understand them if they do..." The hound tilted his head curiously. Did chickens talk? Maybe they could only communicate with each other, in a secret chicken language. Wait -- What if they were plotting against him and his master? York had never quite trusted the look in their beady little eyes...
He shook his head in frustration, dispelling the ridiculous thoughts. There was his imagination, running off with him again. Loki's question brought him back to reality. "No, I sleep with my Master. But I don't think he'd like me bringing strange dogs into the house."

A large sable German shepherd padded around the barn. She smelled fox an dog. Her tail was straight out behind her. Her ears were pricked as she followed the scent "Who all are of you?" she barked when she spotted them all. Her eyes narrowed at them.

Loki's eyes widened and he crouched down as much as possible when he saw the other dog show up, that was a big dog. A really big dog. Maybe they should run and stay somewhere else. Loki wasn't going to say anything, just sit down there and tremble.

She looked down at Loki a frown coming across her face "Might I ask who you are?" she barked.
