Celestial bound from one room to the other. Her paws scrabbled on the hard wood floor, claws clicking in her wild race. Soon her beloved master would be home and it would be time to go for a walk. That word, in itself, was magical. It was a glorious time where she got to explore the outside! Sometimes, they'd even go to this nifty little place called a park. The leash would get taken off and she'd be free in the outside world!
The big mechanical beast came rolling into the driveway, sending the German Shephard into a howling frenzy. Swish, swish. Running from one window to the next didn't actually make them move faster, but it seemed as if time was flying by when she did it! The door was moving, opening...charge!
She jumped upon her master, showering the teenage boy in kisses. He just grumbled and shoved her off, but she wasn't disheartened. It was almost time! He clipped the metal part of the least to her bright, blue collar and away they went.
Oh it was glorious outside!

Buff trotted along the sidewalk, head held high and eyes shining. He zigzagged back and forth - they were exploring a new street today! - taking in all the smells and analyzing the markings left behind from others before him.
The Sheltie was small, but made up for his size with spirit. He halted when he spotted another, larger dog emerging from his den with his master. Buff launched into a yipping frenzy at the sight of the new and unfamiliar dog.
"Who are you? What's your name? Do you like bones?" He wasn't sure how to react to the size, though, so he waited where he was.

Celestial wasn't exactly a lightweight when it came to dogs. Thankfully, the teenage boy had enough muscle on his skinny body to prevent himself from being wildly dragged down the sidewalk. She darted from one side of the sidewalk to the other, sniffing every little particle of the grass. Sometimes her boy would get ahead of her, giving a sharp yank on the leash. Snorting, Celestial darted forward and almost knocked the boy off his feet. Such fun! So many smells, so many sounds, so much...much everything!
Celestial froze when a small dog began to yip at her. The little thing seemed to be broken. Was there no off button for the insistent, annoying sound? The German Shephard gave a loud, deep bark to hopefully halt the yips. Several more barks escaped her jaws, but her tail was wagging with ferocity. Maybe this little dog, despite how annoying he was, wanted to play with her!
"My name is Celestial. Who are you? I like bones, do you? I like to dig too. And run. Where are you going?" she excitedly panted, tongue lolling from her powerful jaws. She dropped her larger body down in a play bow, giving a doggy grin.

A thick figured female happened to be strolling along th sidewalk opposite the other two canines. This dog was a beautiful odd-eyed blue merle Australian Shepherd. Unlike the other two, she was not being lead around by, or leading, a human. No, she was out exploring on her own.
As she continued on her way, she heard the rather loud and overly excited barks of two other dogs. One was obviously a larger dog, distinguishable by its bark. The other, it seemed smaller than the other for sure.
She picked her pace up to a trot until the others were visible. She didn't cross the street bt pricked her folded ears and watched from afar. She was not exactly the most sociable. She wasn't antisocial and she wasn't shy, but she was not like these two who obviously loved the company of another, or so it seemed.

Celestial stopped her excited barks and panting when a new figure emerged from across the street. Giving a happy wag of her tail, the German Shepherd stood from her play bow. "Hey there! Wanna come play with us? We're fun!" Well...not that she thought about it, she couldn't really say for the other dog. She was fun though, that's what mattered, right?!

Chelsea trotted up the sidewalk, her beloved friend and alpha Danny a catlength behind her, holding her relatively close with a blue leash. Her longhaired, golden pelt shimmered in the sunlight as the golden retriever crossed the street to the other sidewalk with Danny, to see a German Shepherd and a Sheltie not seven foxlengths away. She yipped a greeting and quickened her pace, Danny still holding her but quickening his pace to meet hers. Chelsea knew not to charge at other dogs because Danny would get mad and snap or yank her leash, which was a warning not to do it again. She learned fast. As she got within three foxlengths of the dogs, she barked, "Hey there! I've never seen you around." She sniffed at the dog, but after a little bit Danny turned her around so the dogs could sniff her other end. This way she was in a submissive position and Chelsea wouldn't fight the dogs. Although Chelsea was a sweet-tempered dog, the other dog might be more dominant and might attack if Chelsea showed dominance. Chelsea knew Danny only meant well in doing this, so she grudgingly accepted the submissive position.
